Ultra High Pressure Water Jetting has become an effective surface pre-treatment method in new building and new construction situations. Penguard Pro is based on a new in-house developed technology giving the coating superior adhesion, also to UHPJ surfaces. Penetration properties of Jotun Penguard Pro are far better than traditional new construction coatings.

Does the Jotun penguard pro conform to IM.3 ISO 12944-5 can you please advise this or recommend the paint that you supply that does, we're hopefully looking for a 1 coat system to save time, we have been asked by our client to paint steel bracers which will be surrounded in soil
Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team:
To achieve IM3 in one coat Jotun Penguard Pro would need applied at 600 microns Dry Film Thickness, however Penguard Pro can only achieve a maximum film thickness of 500 microns DFT in one application. Therfore you would instead have to apply 2 coats of 300 microns DFT per coat to acheive the overall 600 microns DFT required.
