Bradite Fastrac Rust Converter is a high performance, single-pack, water-based rust converter intended for the treatment and passivation of surface rust on all hand or mechanically prepared rusty ferrous surfaces.

  • Especially suited for objects which may be difficult to sand blast such as; fences, iron railings, guttering and outdoor fixtures

Features & Benefits

  • Intended for the treatment and passivation of surface rust on all hand or mechanically prepared rusty ferrous surfaces

  • Suitable for use on wire brushed or mechanically abraded surfaces which are free from heavy rust scale, grease and dirt
  • White colour turns black on contact with rust

Application


  • Application and use should always conform to the codes of practice described in BS 6150 and BS 5493
  • Stir thoroughly before use
  • Applicable by brush, roller, conventional air spray or airless spray. Brush application is strongly recommended and is the preferred application method for best performance:
    • Brush and Roller - Supplied ready for use. Thin with 0 - 5% water if required
    • Conventional Air Spraying - Thin with 10 - 20% water as required, tip size - 2.0mm, tip pressure 60psi
      (0.4MPa) approximately
    • Airless Spraying - Thin with 0 - 15% water as required, tip size - 18 thou (0.46mm) approximately, tip pressure
      - 2100 psi (15MPa) approximately
  • Apply 1 full coat @ 30 microns/WFT or 20 microns/DFT
  • 20 m2/L/coat theoretical coverage rate
  • Clean all equipment immediately after use with water for best results
