Ensure the sides of the joint are clean and dry. Any damage joint edges should be repaired with Rust-Oleum 5180 Epoxy Repair Mortar. Mix the 2 components of Rust-Oleum 5160 Flexible Joint Filler together thoroughly for at least 3 minutes until homogenous before use.
For joints 5-10mm wide, depth should be equal to width. For joints 10-20mm wide, depth should be 10mm. For joints over 20mm wide, depth should be half the width. Rust-Oleum 5160 Flexible Joint Filler may be poured - To facilitate this, crimp the rim of the tin and pour evenly into the prepared joint, leaving the top of the sealant just below the level of the floor. Remove any remaining air bubbles by running a flat blade across the surface. Rust-Oleum 5160 Flexible Joint Rods should be used to reduce deeper joints to the desired depth. Use Rust-Oleum 5401 Epoxy Impregnation Primer to improve adhesion.
The working life of the mixed product is one hour depending on temperature. Cleanup: Rust-Oleum Thinner 160.
