Flowcon is a high specification, flowable C40 concrete in a bag, ideal for applications with limited site access where bulk concrete cannot be delivered. Flowcon is easily transportable and boasts a high compressive strength of 55N/mm².
UltraCrete Flowcon is a general-purpose flowable concrete, pre-blended and ideal for most multi-purpose concreting applications such as patching or post erection. Flowcon is ideal where a quality mix is required without the waste and inconsistency of site mixed materials.
Flowcon is supplied in 25kg polythene bags and is manufactured from selected cements, sands, aggregates and chemical admixtures. The product requires only the addition of water and can be applied to depths of 20mm-200mm in one pass. Flowcon should not be used at temperatures below 5°C during application or initial set.
Good concrete practice should be observed at all times. All surfaces should be free from oil, grease, dust or any other visible contaminants. Remove all loose particles and work on a sound substrate. Pre-soak the area with clean water prior to application to aid bond. Remove ponded water before applying the product. It is essential that repair edges are saw cut to a minimum depth of 20mm, feather edging is not recommended.
Remove any dust, dirt or loose debris, the surface area should then be thoroughly soaked with water until saturated. Ensure surplus or ponded water is removed before priming; mix components as per instructions and scrub well into the substrate
Each bag of Flowcon contains aggregate as well as a small pack of specialist cements.Add the entire contents of the pack and the aggregate to a standard free fall mixer. If the material is to be mixed by hand, empty contents onto a clean board and mix without adding the water for a short time to combine the cement and the aggregate.
