Rust-Oleum 3302 CombiPrimer Adhesion
Rust-Oleum 3302 CombiPrimer Adhesion is for use on galvanised steel, stainless steel, aluminium, copper, glass, porcelain and other smooth, dense surfaces that normal paints cannot stick to. CombiPrimer Adhesion is best brushed or sprayed onto a surface and after 30 minutes needs to be overcoated by either CombiColor Gloss or CombiColor Satin as soon as possible. This is to ensure that no dirt or dust gets trapped on the tacky surface and ensures maximum adhesion.
- Recommended Adhesion primer for CombiColor Gloss or CombiColor Satin
- Ideal for galvanised steel
- Also adheres to aluminium, PVC, stainless steel, etc.
- To recoat after 30 minutes
- Transparent blue appearance
- Very high coverage: Aerosol = 4.4m² per 400ml / Brush applied = 35m² per litre
- Density: 0,87
- Solids content in volume: 7%
- Heat Resistance: 100°C (dry heat)
Drying Times At 20°C/RH 50%
- Touch dry: Remains tacky
- Dry to handle: Remains tacky
- Dry to recoat: After ½ hours but within 24 hours
Practical coverage depends on many factors such as porosity and roughness of the substrate and material losses during application.
Please note: you must recoat or apply a topcoat as soon as possible after 30 mins.
We also stock Rust-Oleum CombiPrimer Anti-Corrosion, this primer is ideal to use on steel surfaces when rust and corrosion protection is needed.

Hi I want to colour code my car bumpers using combi colour . Is this primer ok to use on them . Also is there a flexing agent I could use ?
There is not a flexing agent available of Combi colour, but you could consider Rust-Oleum CombiColor Multi-Surface as this is suitable for most plastics without a primer and is inherently flexible already.

I have some old galvanised water tanks which are rusty inside. I want to put soil in them & then plant them up. I have used a drill with wire brush to remove all the flaking dirt & rust inside but what should I paint them with please before filling them (they will have holes in the bottom) - and how long will I need to leave it to dry please. Thanks in advance

Can this be applied direct to new mill finished aluminium sheeting or would you need to prepare the surface beyond cleaning and degreasing it? Thanks
Rust-Oleum 3302 CombiPrimer Adhesion should be used on galvanised steel, stainless steel, aluminium, copper, glass, porcelain and other smooth, dense surfaces followed by Rust-Oleum CombiColor or Rust-Oleum CombiColor Multi-Surface.
Remove grease, oil and all other surface contaminations by alkaline or high pressure cleaning in combination with appropriate detergents. Remove previous coatings completely. Remove salts, 'white rust', etc., by washing with Rust-Oleum Mathys 108 Surfa Etch Solution. The surface must be clean and dry during application.

Above waterline - Remove all loose and damaged existing coating, abrade bare aluminium and spot prime immediately with Teamac QD Zinc Phosphate Primer. Undercoat primed areas with Teamac Marine Undercoat then undercoat the whole area. Finish with 2 coats of Teamac Marine Gloss.
Hull – Remove all loose and damaged existing coating and all marine growth. High pressure wash with fresh water. Do a test area with Teamac Metaclor Underwater CR Primer to ensure compatibility with existing antifoul. Abrade bare aluminium and spot prime immediately with Teamac Metaclor Underwater CR Primer then coat the whole hull with Teamac Metaclor Underwater CR Primer. Finally apply 2 coats of Teamac Antifouling A.

Question: Can this be applied directly over a new powder coated finish? I need to paint a brand new, powder coated storage shed. Thanks
Yes, followed by Rust-Oleum CombiColor.
