questions Miren Del Olmo on 11/08/2018

I'm looking for an interior paint to use on wooden clad ceilings, doors, balustrades and furniture all varnished and in good state, But I would prefer not to have to sand as it is a lot of surface to cover. It appears these multi surface paints may be the answer but I would appreciate your advice on whether the Zinsser Perma or this one would be better; although the house is not prone to mould. I am also just a bit unclear about the meaning of why this paint may need to be sanded off for a better finish? Many thanks Kind regards

We would always prime interior varnished surfaces with Zinsser B-I-N before applying Zinsser Perma-White or Zinsser AllCoat ExteriorBoth are fine to go over Zinsser B-I-N. We're unsure where you have got the information on sanding the paint off to get a better finish, but you do not need to sand between coats when using the Zinsser products discussed.

questions James on 31/03/2018

Would this seal a mahogany unit without the usual red bleed?

No, we would recommend using Zinsser B-I-N or Zinsser Cover Stain on interior hardwoods to block tannin bleed.

If a water based stain block is required you could try Zinsser Bulls Eye 1-2-3 Plus, it may need several coats allowing a good few hours between each coat. Zinsser B-I-N or Zinsser Cover Stain however would always be more effective.

questions mrs dhillon on 31/08/2015

Can I use Zinsser AllCoat (Water Based) on decking, hand rails, sheds and fence panels.

No, but you can use Zinsser AllCoat Exterior Satin on all those areas except decking. For decking try Jotun Demidekk Decking and Garden Stain.

questions Sharon Eke on 18/08/2015

Does Zinsser AllCoat (Water Based) prime and finish as a topcoat to woodwork.

Yes it does but it is a matt finish. Usually woodwork is required in a satin or semi-gloss finish, if this is the case then Zinsser Perma-White would be a better option. There is an Interior and Exterior grade available.
