Rust-Oleum 7200 Floorcoat PU is a single pack easy to apply solvent based urethane modified alkyd floor coating specially designed for applying on dry concrete, wood and masonry for interior and exterior use. Rust-Oleum 7200 Floorcoat PU is also ideal as a line marking product, the coating has a good resistance against abrasion and neutral detergents (no alkaline cleaning agents) and is resistant during short contact periods against lubricating oils, fuel, petrol etc.
Rust-Oleum 7200 Floorcoat PU can be applied directly on concrete floors, wooden floors and masonry which are completely clean and dry. It is not recommended to apply on smooth/dense concrete or concrete containing a damp repellent additive, which will prevent a good adhesion. Rust-Oleum 7200 Floorcoat PU can also be applied on old good adhering coatings and can also be applied onto metal floors which have been correctly prepared and primed with a suitable Rust-Oleum metal primer.

Preparation:
To ensure homogeneity, coating materials should be thoroughly stirred prior to use. Remove oil, grease and other contamination with Rust-Oleum Mathys ND14 Cleaner Degreaser or high pressure (steam) cleaning in combination with appropriate detergents. Sand old intact coatings to roughen the surface in order to establish a good adhesion. Check the compatibility with old intact coatings. During application the surface should be dry and clean. On porous concrete a first coat should be applied with Rust-Oleum 7200 Floorcoat PU diluted with ±5% Rust-Oleum Thinner 633. On new concrete (>28 days) use Rust-Oleum 7201 Universal Floor Primer as a first coat or use Rust-Oleum Mathys 108 Surfa Etch Solution to neutralise any remaining alkalinity from the cement. Remove curing compounds by means of dust free blasting.
Application & Thinning:
- Brush: Sparingly, if required, with 5% Rust-Oleum Thinner 633.
- Roller: Sparingly, if required, with 5% Rust-Oleum Thinner 633. In case of roller application it can be necessary to apply 2 coats in order to obtain the recommended film thickness.
- Air-Atomised Spray: Thin with max. 10% Rust-Oleum Thinner 641. Gravity cup and pressure cup. Tip size: 1.0 -1.5 mm. Atomising pressure: 2 – 4 bar.
- Cleanup: Immediately after application using Rust-Oleum Thinner 633.
