Rust-Oleum 7200 Floorcoat PU is a single pack easy to apply solvent based urethane modified alkyd floor coating specially designed for applying on dry concrete, wood and masonry for interior and exterior use. Rust-Oleum 7200 Floorcoat PU is also ideal as a line marking product, the coating has a good resistance against abrasion and neutral detergents (no alkaline cleaning agents) and is resistant during short contact periods against lubricating oils, fuel, petrol etc.
Rust-Oleum 7200 Floorcoat PU can be applied directly on concrete floors, wooden floors and masonry which are completely clean and dry. It is not recommended to apply on smooth/dense concrete or concrete containing a damp repellent additive, which will prevent a good adhesion. Rust-Oleum 7200 Floorcoat PU can also be applied on old good adhering coatings and can also be applied onto metal floors which have been correctly prepared and primed with a suitable Rust-Oleum metal primer.
Product Advantages:
Extra durable because of polyurethane addition
Excellent flow and aspect

For indoor and outdoor usage
For many different surfaces
High coverage: 9m² per litre
Can Be Used For:
Concrete floors

Preparation:
To ensure homogeneity, coating materials should be thoroughly stirred prior to use. Remove oil, grease and other contamination with Rust-Oleum Mathys ND14 Cleaner Degreaser or high pressure (steam) cleaning in combination with appropriate detergents. Sand old intact coatings to roughen the surface in order to establish a good adhesion. Check the compatibility with old intact coatings. During application the surface should be dry and clean. On porous concrete a first coat should be applied with Rust-Oleum 7200 Floorcoat PU diluted with ±5% Rust-Oleum Thinner 633. On new concrete (>28 days) use Rust-Oleum 7201 Universal Floor Primer as a first coat or use Rust-Oleum Mathys 108 Surfa Etch Solution to neutralise any remaining alkalinity from the cement. Remove curing compounds by means of dust free blasting.
Roller: Sparingly, if required, with 5% Rust-Oleum Thinner 633. In case of roller application it can be necessary to apply 2 coats in order to obtain the recommended film thickness.
Air-Atomised Spray: Thin with max. 10% Rust-Oleum Thinner 641. Gravity cup and pressure cup. Tip size: 1.0 -1.5 mm. Atomising pressure: 2 – 4 bar.
Apply in a dry and well-ventilated area. Do not apply Rust-Oleum 7200 Floorcoat PU on alkaline substrates, or in areas which will be constantly under water.

Question:
Hi will this adhere to floor levelling compound (like hard plaster). Thanks Richard
Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team:
On the assumption that the compound is cementitious, smooth and non-porous, ensure the surface is suitably prepared as detailed in the Technical Data Sheet prior to application of this product.
Depending on the total surface area, this may be achieved by either blasting or grinding of the surface, or via etching the surface with Rust-Oleum Mathys 108 Surfa Etch Solution before applying Rust-Oleum 7200 Floorcoat PU.
This can be mixed to many RAL, NCS or BS colours in a satin or gloss finish.

Question:
good morning, I bought Rust-Oleum paint 7200 PU and painted new and very well washed garden tiles with it and after a few weeks there are places where the paint peels off and I don't know how to save it now. Can I paint these places with one more layer? And can I generally paint this paint with one more layer with a different color, because I am not satisfied with the color either.
Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team:
We are sorry to hear of the issue you are having with the paint, we have contacted you directly by email to look into this.

Question:
Can this be used to paint over vinyl floor tiles (such as Karndean)?
Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team:
Unfortunately no.
Assuming the vinyl floor tiles are a linoleum or rubber, they are clean, dry, sound and prepared as detailed in the technical data sheet we can recommend Smartkote Protectakote UVR Smooth.
This is available in black, white or clear in a gloss finish.
Hi, would this be suitable for a high traffic internal patio door sill/threshold?
Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team:
Assuming the door threshold is bare timber, it is clean, dry, sound and prepared as detailed in the technical data sheet it could be used.
As this is a high traffic area it may require reapplication when signs of wear occur.

Question:
Can you paint a second coat a week after the first?
Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team:
We would recommend applying a second coat within 7 days.
As this paint is fully cured in 1 week, to apply a further coat after this time you will need to sand the floor to provide a key and make sure the floor is clean, dry and sound prior to application.

Question:
Hi, I need to paint my concrete patio slabs. Considering that it's an outdoor surface, Is this the right product to use on those? Thanks!
Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team:
Assuming there is a damp proof membrane present below the slabs, they are not subject to vehicle traffic, they are bare, clean, dry, sound and prepared as detailed in the technical data sheet, this could be used.
We would recommend you test for compatibility and adhesion prior to full application.
